RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication," depending on who you ask. Basically, an RSS feed is a direct line to a website's updates. So, if you subscribe to an RSS feed, you will automatically receive updates to the corresponding section of the website automatically as soon as the new content is published.

To subscribe to an RSS feed, you will first need a news reader. This is software that either works through your internet browser or directly off of your computer. Once you have a news reader, you can receive and view RSS updates.
